Rupert Grint was born on Wednesday 24th August 1988. His first movie was Harry Potter and The Philosophers stone. He got the part because of his love of the series. He heard about the auditions and went for it. After months of hearing no reply, he decided to try a bit harder. He even wrote a rap song and video taped it, dressed as his female teacher, to give to the producers at Harry Potter, and wrote a litle scene for Ron, to show how much he wanted the part. He thought he was alot like Ron, because they were both scared of Spiders, and they both have big families. And they both have ginger hair of course! He eventually got the part after only being in one school play before. He is currently filming the fourth Harry Potter movie! After the first Harry Potter movie, Rupert shot his second movie 'Thunderpants'.
